We slept, and cuddled with little baby James. Look how little he was!
We learned how to move our hands around.
We did some tummy-time and took some cute pictures. Sorry this ones blurry.
We got jealous of James getting all the attention and pictures taken.
We took more cute pictures of James. We played with James and smothered him A LOT.
We slept some more. (And I know that I am not a cute sleeper. I never have been and have had many shots like this taken of me. Everyone always thinks its so funny)
We got James' smile on camera for the first time. Sorry its blurry, these things are so fleeting you know.
Aunt Suzie came to stay for a week and a half. Stella and Suzie went swimming.
We splashed and played and even had the whole baby pool to themselves for a little while.
We dunked and recovered with no problem.
Zoom in on this one. Its cute!
We slept in the sling to keep the new baby skin from burning. Ooch, that sun is bright!
We slept on laps.
We slept some more.
We watched movies on the way to South Dakota for the 4th of July weekend.
We watched more movies and chilled out.
We stopped at Wall Drug in Wall, South Dakota for lunch. That place is huge! And the donuts really are good.
We almost got ripped off to go see this. Its the unfinished Crazy Horse Memorial that we opted to just take a picture from the outside. In my opinion it will never be finished because it is way too huge and they are moving way too slow. Its supposed to be that whole mountain with the full body of Crazy Horse showing.
We watched fireworks over Mount Rushmore on my birthday. It was a very cool show. People camped out all day and even over night to get the best spots to watch from. We instead had a yummy filet mignon dinner with my parents and little sisters with really yummy desserts. Yummy! Suzie went on ahead with them to Utah, and we stayed in SD for a couple more days.
We spent a very toasty 4th of July at Mount Rushmore.
This was Josh, Stella, and of course James' first time seeing it in real life.
The flags of the 50 states all in front of the presidents.
We laughed, played, and got very tired while waiting for the 4th of July fireworks in Custer, SD where we were staying.
We watched more fireworks in Custer. Sorry the pictures don't show how good the show was.We were very cute and pretty good on the 8 hour drive from Mount Rushmore back home to Rochester.
We slept some more.
We hung out with baby James some more and relaxed a lot.We became buddies with James and learned his name. We called him Japes before, but now we know it's James.

Fun trips! My family went to Mt Rushmore, Wall Drug, etc South Dakota in 2000. We spent the 4th of July in DeSmet (home of Laura Ingalls Wilder). One place we stayed by Mt Rushmore was a KOA and the bathrooms were shaped like Flintstones.
Your many sleeping pictures are cute; everyone looks like they just crash, especially Stella, upside down, sitting up, sideways, etc. It looks like a good summer; is it already over? :}
I LOVE the adorable sleeping pictures. Every one of them. Sleep has to be the most treasured aspect of a parent's life :) Your family is unbelievably cute.
What a fun summer! Good for you guys! I've never seen Mt. Rushmore either! You do have cute kids!!
I think the sleeping pictures are my favorite. I love all the funny positions everyone is in. Stella is so grown up looking. She is such a little girl!
I must say that lil' James is stinkin' cute!
I love the sleeping pics with you and the 2 adorable kids! sounds like a great summer!
