Christmas

Just before Christmas AJ and the kids moved out to AZ to be with the Cox family we decorated the tree for the last time in our home and the kids loved helping. Stella "fixed" the ornaments on the tree about five times a day and James seemed to help take things off the tree rather than put them on.

Our Good-Bye's

This was our good-bye to the Allen's. Great friends in Minnesota.

Our neighbors, Bernie and Rose.

Some of our friends in the branch

I definitely don't miss shoveling this much snow

Moving

This was our good-bye to our house. The day after family left from our Thanksgiving celebration, we listed our house. A couple weeks later, in fact, the day the movers were packing us, we got an offer and then closed a month later. We headed to Arizona where I transferred to the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale. What a blessing this whole process was. We weren't sure about it all, but when the house sold and everything else came into place one at a time, we were sure we were doing the right thing. We were sad to leave our small town and branch in Minnesota, and of course our first house, but we know that's where we need to be.

Thanksgiving

Mel couldn't decide what to eat with all the food we had

Dad had a great time cutting the turkey, his favorite thing to do

This was part of the food. Lot's of it for a small crowd

This was everyone's favorite part. As you can see Stella was trying to snatch a chocolate chip

Time to Play Catch-up!!

Stella and James really love to be artistic, whether with paint or markers. This was wonderful for them during Halloween.

Stella loves to bury herself in the leaves

Our two little 'helpers' had more fun unraking the piles
This was our Lion, Witch, and Mom was the wardrobe. Stella was so excited to put on the makeup and paint her nails black. By the end of the night they definitely had enough.

Family pictures

We just got our yearly family pictures taken this morning and of course my kids are just too stinkin' cute and made me want to spend too much money to buy all of the adorable pictures of them. They wouldn't sit still very well and James did not want to be forced to pose after only about five or ten minutes. But check out this cute one I pulled from the website. Its just low resolution so its obviously not the final. Let me know if there is any interest to see the other proofs and I'll pass on the website info.

And by the way, this pose was prompted, but they put themselves like this.

Okay and here are a couple more. (I wasn't satisfied with just one :))
I know I am biased, but come on. Could they be any cuter?

And I have tons to post about but no more time right now. Stay tuned for their super cute Halloween costumes.

I know his birthday was months ago. But I thought I would post these for anyone who cared to see them. :) Sorry the videos are so dark it was a gloomy, rainy day!

Cute video of James walking

This is a silly video of James' actual first steps. I apologize for my loud and cheesy outbursts, but I really was excited.

Trip to California

At the end of May we kicked off our summer by flying to California for Josh's youngest brother's wedding. We made it a vacation for us and spent a nice long weekend there. We stayed at Josh's aunt and uncle's house, spent time with cousins and had a blast. Unfortunately I didn't take all that many pictures, but here are few cute random ones.

Stella excited to fly. She got her own pack of tissues because her nose was running constantly.

James all ready for his first time flying. We don't have any pictures from the flight home, but James is lucky he made it. He was super tired and cranky and is really loud when he fusses. The guy across the aisle was ready to kill him.
We got to meet baby Olivia for the first time. They were sitting next to each other on the couch and looked so cute all matchy matchy. Stella was not feeling very well. The combination of a bad cold and flying turned into an ear infection. Not a fun combination for a vacation. It did make her more mellow and less crazy, which made things a little easier with lots of kids around.
Waiting after the ceremony. Stella felt pretty bad most of this day and was really tired. I think she got to be held pretty much the whole time.
Cute Logan enjoying the rainy day. The rest of us were all packed together under the entrance area. June gloom was just rolling in and we had misty weather most of the weekend.

Sicky Stella did not want pictures taken. Luckily Dr. Uncle Gavin was there and was able to check out her ears and give her a prescription.
Throwing a fit after he broke my necklace. Cute couple coming out of the temple.
I think this was the only time Kiki held still the whole day.

Cutting the cake.
Enjoying the cake.Isn't she cute? We love her!

Our last day there we got to go to Legoland with Dad and Susan and Jake and Lauren. Stella wasn't too sure about Bob.
The parents getting to go on a big person ride while Grandma and Grandpa watched the kids.

They loved all the kid rides.
I think Stella and Grandma Susan went on it five times.
There is this really cool water area in the little kid area of the park. The covering on this was this really cool foamy squishy stuff. It felt really cool!
If you stood right in the middle of the yellow things you didn't get wet.

The kids loved this area and played there for a long time. We got just enough sun for the little while that we were in the water park that it was nice to get wet.

Yeah, that's ice cream on her ear. I'm not really sure how she did that. :)
James "helping" to get things packed up.
